Turning a nightmare uplift into a dream room.

This project started with a full uplift after issues with the original retro-fitted underfloor heating system installed by the builder. We removed the fully bonded ply and stripped everything back to the base, allowing us to rebuild the floor properly from the ground up.

Using @mapeiuk grit primer followed by a high-performance renovation screed, we created a perfectly level, stable base — absolutely essential for a premium parquet installation. With the preparation complete, we installed this stunning @atkinson_kirby Katsura parquet block, transforming the space into a beautifully finished, high-end room built to last.

As always, the key is in the groundwork: 80% preparation, 20% installation.
